Scottish Kennel Club 2010 Critique

PD 1 Peach’s Kilbourne Brigadier. Upstanding ten month hound of quality. Good head, strong
jaw. Long, strong neck into good lay of shoulder. Plenty of length and strength of loin. Strong
quarters with good fallaway. Moved out well with reach. Best Puppy In Breed. 2 Richardson’s
Bannetstane Dubh Artach. Well balanced seven month puppy who presented a lovely outline. Well laid shoulder, good length of ribbing, strong loin, plenty of bone. Moved well. 3 Cartmell’s Cusidh Gaidhealtachd.

JD 1 Peach’s Kilbourne Hamlet. What a promising youngster. Super head with alert expression.
Strong neck into excellent shoulder, good ribbing and cut-up. Good length from hip to low set
hock. Moved easily with long stride. Was pleased to award him the Res Dog CC. 2 Mullen’s
Killoeter Pintail. Gave his handler a hard time but much to like about him. Attractive head and
expression. Good depth of brisket. Strong quarters. Moved out well when settled.

YD 1 Cartmells’ Cusidh Rich Innse Gall. Well proportioned head with dark eye and nice
expression. Good length and strength of loin. Excellent harsh coat. Kept his topline whilst moving
out lightly with reach.

PGD 1 Taylor’s Kilbourne James Dene to Ormanstar. Strongly built dog who won this class on his
movement. Good front with strong bone down to well knuckled feet. Good depth of brisket with
nice cut-up. Strong second thigh. 2 Foy’s Glenfoyble In The Gloaming. Nicely balanced dog with
good harsh coat. Strong neck, good lay of shoulder. Plenty of length and good ribbing, nice
droop. Strong bone. 3 Freeman’s Kwaricott Abdiel.

LD 1 Gilhooly & Morrissey’s Lord Seafield of Hartvalley. Presented a balanced outline across the
ring. Lovely breed type and quality. Masculine head, strong neck of good length into well-laid
shoulder. Good depth of brisket, strong loin with good fall-away and angulation. Moved soundly.
2 Milne & Andrews’ Leoch Fiddich. Smaller, lighter built dog but balanced and well constructed.
Very nice breed type. Best mover in class. 3rd Hawkin’s Kwaricott Archimago.

OD 1 Finnett & Heathcote’s Hyndsight Keep The Faith. I remember judging and liking this dog
when he was a Junior and I have not changed my opinion. Very sound and well constructed with
a good head, long neck somewhat hidden by heavy mane, good lay of shoulder. Good forechest.
Plenty of depth of brisket and well ribbed back. Strong loin of good length and correct fall away.
Strong quarters. Moved with drive. A worthy winner of the Dog CC. 2 Gillie’s Dorrator Gethen. Well balanced angles. Deep chest, well arched loin with droop to tail. Plenty of bone. Moved well. 3 Barret’s Stranwith Ebenezer.

PB What a lovely class - bodes well for the future of the breed. 1 McIntyre’s Bannetstane Rubha
Cadail. Seven month old of lovely type. Well balanced with good good forechest, strong quarters.
Well ribbed back, good length of loin. Plenty of bone. Harsh coat. Lovely light lifting movement. 2
Peach’s Ain’t Miss Behavin at Kilbourne. Another promising puppy. Super neck, good lay of
shoulder. Plenty of length and strength of loin. Nice sweep to quarters. Moved with drive. 3
Jennings’ Brylach Natasha.

JB 1 Blandford’s Killoeter Peggy. I liked this young bitches’ free flowing movement. Well balanced length to height ratio. Good front, deep brisket. Held her topline on the move. Good bone and feet. Harsh coat. 2 Swanson & O’Brien’s Lodhainn Abla. Just six month’s old this pretty puppy struggled against more mature exhibits. However she has all the makings, good front and
quarters, plenty of bone and length of loin. Just needs time.

YB 1 Gillie’s Dorrator Song For Drella. Well balanced bitch presenting a typical outline. Good depth of brisket with good cut-up. Well laid shoulder. Good ribbing. Well angulated. Moved well from all angles. 2 Foote & Crossan’s Cusidh Caol Muile. Lovely head and expression. Strong neck with good length. Nice topline and cut-up. Good fall away. Long reaching profile movement. 3 Cartmell’s Cusidh Perchance to Dream.

PGB 1 Finnett & Heathcote’s Hyndsight Fallen Angel. Shapely bitch with lovely feminine head,
good pigmentation. Strong neck into well-laid shoulder and nice flowing topline with good fallaway. Deep brisket with good ribbing. Strong quarters with wide hips. Moved very well with lift
and drive. 2 Gilhooly’s Freyja at Nobys. Very close up to above. Pretty feminine head. Excellent
neck and shoulder. Good topline. Well bent stifles, low hocks. Moved well. 3 Foy’s Glenfoyble
Filliberry.

LB 1 Godden & Peach’s Brackenland Tan At Kilbourne. Strong neck into well-laid shoulder. Good forechest. Good depth of brisket, well ribbed back. Good length of loin and width of hip. Strong quarters, low hocks. Moved well with good reach. 2 Finnett & Heathcote’s Hyndsight Who’s That Girl. Well balanced bitch of good length. Excellent front, good ribbing. Plenty of bone and wellknuckled feet. Flowing topline with arch over loin and good droop to well set tail. Covered the ground with ease on the move. 3 Jansons’ Nixophel Crystal Amethyst.

OB 1 Peach’s Pinglehol Ruby To Kilbourne. Strongly made bitch with good neck into well-laid
shoulder and flowing topline which she kept on the move. Excellent forechest, deep brisket with
good ribbing. Strong quarters with good angulation and low hocks. Moved soundly and well to win the Bitch CC – her third I believe. 2 Westall-Ives’ Stranwith May. I loved the type and quality of this elegant bitch. Well balanced with pretty feminine head and expression. Well-laid shoulder,
good topline with width across the hips and good droop to tail. Strong quarters, nicely angulated
with low hocks. Moved with lift and reach. Unlucky to meet l on such good form but delighted to
award her the Res Bitch CC.
